Graduate Exercise Testing Intern
The F.I.T.T. (Fitness Instruction Training and Testing) Building at ECU serves undergraduate and graduate students alike in promoting exercise testing, training, and instruction. Community professionals such as the Greenville Police Department test workforce members prior to placement on full-time duty. The facility houses equipment sufficent to provide a safe, effective exercise environment for low, moderate, and some high cardiovascular disease risk patrons.

  • Prepared EKG, ventilation, and exercise equipment and patients for testing and training.
  • Cleaned, tested, and maintained ventilatory and EKG testing equipment.
  • Monitored low and moderate-risk patients, alongside M.D.'s during maximal exercise testing.
  • Anaylzed EKG information post-exercise to determine heart function abnormalities.
